Following its announcement of new routes and increased international flight frequencies for the summer of 2023, Air Canada is following up with an announcement of its domestic service expansion.

New service
Air Canada will offer a new non-stop service between Montreal and Fort McMurray, Alberta. These flights will be operated by the Airbus A319 aircraft with a capacity of 136 seats in Economy and Premium Rouge class.

Other seasonal routes will resume, including:
- Gander-Toronto from June1st

Frequency increases
Air Canada is also announcing increased frequencies on several routes in the summer of 2023 to better serve these popular destinations. Note that these are increased frequencies compared to the summer of 2022.

In total, Air Canada will offer 97 domestic routes this summer with service to 51 airports across Canada.
Bottom line
According to Air Canada, this summer domestic schedule will serve to complement the new international summer schedule by facilitating hub connectivity for travellers. In October, the airline announced routes to Japan, Copenhagen, Toulouse and Brussels for the summer of 2023.
