What is the Air Canada Jetz fleet?
Airlines must redouble their efforts duringCOVID-19 Pandemic. The airline industry has been particularly struck with most of the aircraft grounded.
Besides, regaining the trust of passengers is going to be a complicated task.
That’s why we’re seeing initiatives like Air CanadaCleanCare+ program for travelling with confidence.
But as voices are raised for airlines to implement a certain social distancing (such as blocking the middle seat), Air Canada has just innovated by proposing a solution on its busiest routes, the “Rapidair triangle”: Montreal – Toronto – Ottawa.
As of June 1, 2020, Air Canada Jetz’s A319 aircraft will operate some flights.
Air Canada Jetz has three aircraft, entirely configured with business class seats.
The cabin has 58 seats (instead of 120 seats usually with a mixed economy and business configuration).
Professional sports teams are usually Air Canada Jetz’s customers like:
- Montreal Canadiens
- Vancouver Canucks
- Calgary Flames
- Edmonton Oilers
- Ottawa Senators
- Toronto Maple Leafs
And these aircraft can also be chartered by companies or music bands.

The cost is $397 one-way (compared to $123 for other similar economy class flights).
While the fare may seem very high, especially for a 1:30 flight, it remains interesting when compared to business class pricing ($519).
